A large portion of this Chapter's funds go directly back into
the community as donations to charities and special programs such as those
listed below. Buddy Bears - This Chapter actively promotes the Buddy Bear program sponsored by ABATE of Minnesota. Buddy Bears are small stuffed bears which are distributed by this and other ABATE chapters to local Fire and Rescue units, Emergency Response units, trauma centers, etc., which in turn distribute the Bears to children who have been subjected to a difficult or traumatic situation. The Buddy Bears help to provide some level of comfort to the child during these times. This Chapter raises funds to purchase and distribute the Bears through various activities. Proudly, the Chapter has distributed well over 300+ Buddy Bears!.
